The examining doctor must be a Florida qualified physician: a medical or osteopathic doctor with an active, unrestricted Florida license who has passed the 2-hour course and exam the state requires, which must be completed before approval and once more before each license renewal.
Getting to Our Tampa Office From Pensacola
For Pensacola patients who book with us, the main route by car is I-10 E and then I-75 S, about 7 hours of driving, and longer in heavy traffic. A second route uses I-10 E and US-19 S.

Whether a Pensacola resident qualifies depends on Florida’s list of conditions. Pain alone does not qualify; chronic nonmalignant pain must stem from a listed condition. Under Florida law, medical marijuana is available only through the state’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry. With an approved card you can buy lab-tested products from any licensed treatment center. Certification by a qualified physician must come first. The card does not let you grow plants at home: under s. 381.986(12)(d), a patient who cultivates marijuana violates s. 893.13.

Pensacola patients pay two fees: the physician evaluation and the state’s $75 ID card fee. Your cost at our Tampa office is $199. Evaluation fee refunded if the doctor does not certify you. The physician decides at that visit whether you qualify under Florida law.

How much does a medical marijuana card cost in Pensacola?
For a Pensacola patient, getting a first card means paying $199 for the evaluation at our Tampa office, to Dr. Green Relief, then a $75 ID card fee to the state once you are certified, plus $2.75 if you pay that fee online. Renewal certifications are due before your current one runs out (210 days at most). Money-back guarantee: if the physician does not certify you at your visit, your evaluation fee is refunded.
