Looking for Meridian Marijuana Doctors? In Idaho no doctor can certify you, because the state has no medical marijuana program and no Meridian medical marijuana card exists. Idaho Code 37-2705 places marijuana in Idaho’s schedule I of controlled substances, and a card from another state is not valid here. That could change only through Idaho law: HJR 4, on the Nov 3, 2026 ballot, would leave any legalization to the Idaho Legislature. Ada County lists Meridian City Hall, 33 E Broadway Ave, as an early voting site from Oct 19 to Oct 30, 2026, and Ada County Elections, at 400 N. Benjamin Lane, Ste 100 in Boise, runs the ballot for Meridian voters. Until the law changes, possession of any amount is a crime in Meridian, with a $300 minimum fine for an adult caught with 3 ounces or less.

A doctor’s note gives no protection in Meridian today, because Idaho law has no medical marijuana exception for any patient. Idaho recognizes no qualifying condition, so seizures, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, terminal cancer, PTSD, autism, chronic pain, depression, nausea and anxiety do not change the law for a Meridian patient. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare issues no cannabis cards, so there is no state form for a doctor to sign. Idaho law does carve FDA-approved cannabidiol medicine with no more than 0.1% residual THC out of its definition of marijuana.
Dr. Green Relief keeps no office in Meridian; it works from Tampa, Fort Myers and Sarasota in Florida and from Las Vegas, Nevada. There is no Idaho program to enroll in and no Meridian medical marijuana card to register for. The 2026 Idaho Medical Cannabis Act initiative would have created cards for listed conditions, but it did not qualify for the ballot, and no law since has created a program.

Marijuana Card Program Status
Idaho has no medical marijuana program, so a Meridian patient faces the same law as anyone else. Possessing 3 ounces or less is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail, a fine of up to $1,000, or both, and since July 1, 2025 adults also face a minimum fine of $300 on top of those penalties. More than 3 ounces is a felony with up to 5 years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or both, and manufacture or delivery is a separate felony with up to 5 years and a fine of up to $15,000. Using or being under the influence of marijuana in a public place is a misdemeanor too, with up to 6 months in jail. HB 7, signed on February 24, 2025, added that minimum fine to Idaho Code 37-2732.
