If you are looking for Boise Marijuana Doctors, start with Idaho law: the state has no medical marijuana program, so no Boise physician can certify you for a card. Idaho law makes no exception for Boise patients today: Idaho Code 37-2705 places marijuana in Idaho’s schedule I of controlled substances, whatever the diagnosis, and a doctor’s note does not create one. Idaho’s definition of marijuana does exclude an FDA-approved cannabidiol drug with no more than 0.1% residual THC.
Under Idaho law, no diagnosis, including terminal cancer, PTSD, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, autism, chronic pain or anxiety, permits marijuana use. Idaho keeps no qualifying-condition list, and an adult with 3 ounces or less faces a misdemeanor and a $300 minimum fine.

Marijuana Card Program Status
Idaho has no medical marijuana program, and no physician certification protects a patient from Idaho possession law. Idaho Code 37-2705 keeps marijuana in Idaho’s schedule I of controlled substances, and the law makes no exception for patients or for cards issued by other states. Lawmakers adopted HJR 4 in March 2025 by votes of 58 to 10 in the House and 29 to 6 in the Senate, which put it on the Nov 3, 2026 ballot. The 2026 Idaho Medical Cannabis Act initiative, which would have had the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare issue cards, did not qualify for the ballot.
