Nevada has recognized Medical Marijuana since 2009, the law removes state-level criminal penalties for the use, possession and cultivation of medical marijuana by patients who are diagnosed with a qualifying condition. Once you have written documentation from one of our medical marijuana doctors recommending the use of medical marijuana to help alleviate your condition, you become eligible to enroll in the Nevada Medical Marijuana Program.

There are limits on growing your own if you live within 25-miles of an operating dispensary. Patients growing specific strains of cannabis that are not provided by a local dispensary may continue to grow for their needs. The other exception is patients who have an established history of growing their medical marijuana prior to July 1, 2013 may continue to do so until March 31, 2016.
A caregiver is defined as a designated person who has significant responsibility for managing the well-being of a person diagnosed with a chronic or debilitating medical condition. The caregiver does not include the attending physician. The caregiver must be 18 years of age or older. Patients may only have one designated primary caregiver.
Nevada Medical Marijuana Dispensaries:
Although the dispensaries are approved on a State level, they are not operational as of yet. Patients often use online resources to help locate their medical marijuana.
